Three useful heights
Roof height
Just above the building. Shows the roof form, the yard and the street together.
Drone height
High enough to see the full lot and the neighbors on each side. The most common choice.
Site plan view
High and steep, close to a plan. Good for subdivisions, parking layouts and lender packs.
What goes in the model
We build the lot from your survey or site plan: lot lines, grading, driveways, walks, fences and the trees you keep. New planting comes from the landscape plan, or from a simple scheme that fits the region if there isn't one. Neighboring buildings are modeled as simple shapes from photos and map views, so the scale reads correctly without stealing attention.
Where aerials help
Planning and zoning hearings, where people want to see setbacks and how a new building relates to the houses around it. Lender and investor packs, where a single image explains the site. Subdivision and multifamily sales, where buyers want to see open space, parking and access before anything is built.
Questions
Can you show trees that will be removed?
We show the site as it will be after construction, based on your tree plan. If you need a before and after, we can render both from the same camera.
Do you use real map or satellite imagery?
We use map views as a reference for what is around the site, and build the context ourselves. We don't paste licensed satellite photos into the final image.
Know which views you need? Mark the camera spots on a site plan, or describe them, and send your drawings.
